While on a family road trip, we decided to take a break at this rest area and it exceeded all our expectations! The facilities were not only clean but also well-equipped. There were ample restrooms, and I was thrilled to find family restrooms available as well. The kids loved the play area outside—such a great way for them to burn off some energy. The overall atmosphere felt safe and welcoming, which is so important when traveling with little ones. I also noticed some informational displays about West Virginia’s history, which made for an interesting read while we took a break. If I had to point out one thing that could be improved, it would be the lack of food options; a small café would be an excellent addition. Still, we left feeling refreshed and ready to hit the road again!

This rest area was a little gem on my journey! It had a nice, spacious parking area that was easy to navigate, even with my larger vehicle. I appreciated the well-maintained picnic tables that provided a great spot for a lunch break. The staff members were super friendly; they greeted everyone with warm smiles and were eager to help with any questions. I even snagged a few brochures for local attractions, which was a nice touch. The only reason I’m not giving a full five stars is that the vending machine selection was a bit limited. A few more snack options would really enhance the experience, but overall, it’s definitely worth a stop!

I recently stopped here during a long drive, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! The welcome center provided a wealth of information about the region, including maps and brochures that helped me plan the rest of my trip. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, which helped me feel more connected to the local area. The restrooms were spotless, which is always a huge plus for me. What I really appreciated was the outdoor seating area; it was perfect for enjoying my packed lunch while soaking up some sun. The only downside was the limited hours of operation, as I would have loved to grab a cup of coffee before heading out. Overall, it was a fantastic stop that I would highly recommend to any traveler!

The landscaping around the center was beautiful, with vibrant flowers and well-kept paths that made it feel inviting. What really stood out, though, was the helpful staff. I asked a lady at the information desk about local attractions, and she gave me a wealth of information, along with some pamphlets. I even discovered a few hiking trails nearby that I hadn’t known about before! Plus, the picnic area was perfect for enjoying a quick lunch in the fresh air. If there’s one small improvement I would suggest, it would be to add more food options—perhaps a small coffee stand or snack bar would be great. Overall, I highly recommend stopping here if you're passing through; it's a perfect little oasis on a long drive!
